What is HydraFacial?

It's no surprise that HydraFacial has become one of the most well-liked facial trends in the modern world. More and more individuals are choosing HydraFacial as their main functional, integrative face skincare spa routine because it offers mild non-invasive treatment, no downtime, and outstanding results.

Because it combines moisturizing serums with an exfoliation similar to microdermabrasion, it is sometimes frequently referred to as "hydra dermabrasion”. It delivers exfoliation, cleansing, extraction, and hydration to the face. This method cleans and soothes your skin by using a vortex spinning movement to offer hydration and remove dead skin, grime, debris, and pollutants.

Why is HydraFacial so popular?

Because they may be used for practically any skin issue and on every type of skin, HydraFacial's have emerged as the preferred facial spa care regimen. Traditional facials like chemical peels or laser resurfacing leave your skin red and inflamed for hours to days following treatment; HydraFacial treatments are significantly less invasive. Both adults and teenagers can benefit from HydraFacial because of the procedure's effectiveness and lack of discomfort.

Specialist to visit

A revolutionary skin treatment, HydraFacial, is offered at dermatologist offices and medical spas. A HydraFacial is performed by either a licensed aesthetician or a dermatologist.

Which skin type is suitable for HydraFacial?

Works on all skin types. Whether you have sensitive skin or acne, dry or oily skin, HydraFacial will work for you.

Time taken for the procedure

A HydraFacial treatment takes an average of 30 minutes.  Each HydraFacial session takes less than an hour, and no downtime is required.

HydraFacial's popular because it may enhance the texture and tone of the skin in just 30 minutes. If a patient wishes to take extra measures to enhance the results of the facials, then only one facial session may last 45-60 minutes.

How Often Should I Get One?

If you haven’t had a facial or hydra-care routine in the past, it can be beneficial to start with 2-4 HydraFacials a month for about 3 months. Once you’ve established a better baseline for facial skin health, you can benefit from a once-a-month appointment.

Preparation

Three to five days before your treatment, start your hydro peptide or PCA SKIN skincare regimen.

For the 72 hours prior to your treatment, refrain from excessive unprotected exposure to the sun. If you have fairer skin, you may need UVA and UVB ray protection of at least 55. Similarly, you should avoid tanning beds during this time.

Two days before your treatment, do not use any over-the-counter acne medications, such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Refrain from waxing and using depilatories.

You should also refrain from any type of exfoliating treatments, like those containing active enzymes or glycolic acids. Finally, do not use any topical product containing tretinoin, such as Retin-A, for at least 48 hours before your treatment session.

Aftercare

  • Unlike with harsher procedures like chemical peels, you can resume your normal activities right away.
  • While you shouldn’t experience any redness or peeling after your session, it’s still best to avoid exfoliating treatments for the first couple of days after a HydraFacial.

Takeaway

The majority of skin types, including those with extremely sensitive skin, can benefit from hydra facials. But in addition to encouraging the skin to have a dewy complexion, the procedure also has the following advantages:

  • Soothing and nourishing without side effects such as irritation, scarring, or rashes - which occasionally occurs with other procedures
  • Reducing the size of pores and wrinkles
  • Repairing sun damage and facial discoloration
  • Stimulating the production of collagen in the skin
