Why Melasma Needs a Different Plan
Melasma is the most common pigmentation concern in Indian women — symmetrical patches on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, and chin, often worsened by sun exposure and hormonal changes. It is genuinely chronic, which means we manage it, not 'cure' it.
What makes melasma different from tan or post-inflammatory pigmentation is its reactivity. Aggressive laser, heat, and the wrong topicals actively make melasma worse. A plan that works is conservative, layered, and maintained long-term.
