What is Vaginal Laxity?

Vaginal laxity refers to a loosening of the vaginal tissues, a condition that is far more common than spoken about. It affects women across different life stages — particularly after childbirth, during perimenopause, or simply as a natural part of ageing.

The vaginal canal and surrounding tissues are supported by a network of collagen fibres and muscles. Over time, or due to specific events like delivery, these structures undergo changes that reduce tone and elasticity. The result can be decreased sensitivity, discomfort during intimacy, or a persistent sense of looseness that affects confidence.

At Uncover Clinics, we believe that intimate health is whole-body health. We provide evidence-based, clinically validated treatments in a safe, confidential, and empathetic environment — so you can address these concerns without embarrassment or hesitation

01 Childbirth — Vaginal delivery stretches the tissue and muscle wall, which may not fully recover its original tone.

02 Hormonal Changes — Declining oestrogen levels during menopause reduce collagen production and tissue elasticity.

03 Ageing — Natural collagen degradation over time leads to reduced firmness and tone.

04 Weight Fluctuations — Significant changes in body weight can affect pelvic floor and vaginal tissue resilience.

05 Chronic Strain — Repeated heavy lifting or high-impact activities can weaken pelvic floor support over time.

Common Symptoms You May Experience

  1. Reduced sensation during intimacy
  2. Vaginal dryness
  3. Sexual satisfaction
  4. Stress urinary incontinence
  5. Feeling of looseness
  6. Mild prolapse discomfort
  7. Recurring infections
  8. Loss of confidence
  9. Painful intercourse
  10. Pelvic floor weakness

"These symptoms are not simply a part of getting older that must be silently endured. Modern medical aesthetics offers safe, effective solutions that can meaningfully improve quality of life."

Our Advanced Vaginal Rejuvenation Treatments

We offer a curated range of clinically validated treatment modalities — each selected for its safety profile, efficacy data, and patient outcomes. Your doctor will recommend the most suitable option based on your individual anatomy and goals.

01 Energy-Based Therapy

Most Popular

Radiofrequency (RF) Vaginal Tightening

Fractional RF energy penetrates into the submucosal layers of vaginal tissue, stimulating a controlled wound-healing response. This triggers robust neocollagenesis — the formation of new collagen fibres — which progressively tightens, tones, and thickens vaginal walls over several weeks post-treatment. Devices like Forma V or Morpheus8 V are used depending on your profile.

  1. Session Duration: 30–45 mins
  2. Sessions Required: 3–5 sessions
  3. DowntimeMinimal: (24–48 hrs)
  4. Results VisibleFrom: 4–6 weeks

02 Fractional Laser

Advanced Precision

CO₂ Fractional Laser Rejuvenation

The gold standard in laser vaginal rejuvenation. Fractional CO₂ laser (such as MonaLisa Touch) creates thousands of microscopic ablative channels in the vaginal mucosa, stimulating deep-layer tissue remodelling. It addresses laxity, dryness, atrophy, and mild incontinence — all in a single protocol. Clinically proven with over a decade of peer-reviewed evidence.

  1. Session Duration: 20–30 mins
  2. Sessions Required: 3 sessions
  3. Downtime: 2–3 days rest
  4. Results Visible: From 4 weeks

03 Biostimulation

Natural Regeneration

PRP Vaginal Rejuvenation (O-Shot)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) harvested from your own blood is injected into targeted vaginal and clitoral tissue. The growth factors in PRP promote tissue regeneration, increased vascularisation, and nerve sensitisation — improving lubrication, arousal, and orgasmic function. A natural, autologous approach for those who prefer bio-identical solutions.

  1. Session Duration: 45–60 mins
  2. Sessions Required: 2–4 sessions
  3. Downtime: None
  4. Results VisibleFrom: 3–4 weeks

04 Injectable

Hydration & Volume

Hyaluronic Acid Vaginal Fillers

Medical-grade hyaluronic acid is used to restore volume in the labia majora, improve tissue hydration, and address vulvar atrophy. Particularly effective for post-menopausal patients experiencing dryness and volume loss, HA fillers provide immediate aesthetic improvement and long-lasting moisture retention in the vaginal ecosystem.

  1. Session Duration: 30–40 mins
  2. Sessions Required: 1–2 sessions
  3. Downtime: Minimal
  4. Results Visible: Immediate

05 Muscle Stimulation

Pelvic Strengthening

HIFEM Pelvic Floor Therapy

High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology induces thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions — equivalent to performing over 11,000 Kegel exercises in 28 minutes. This dramatically strengthens the pelvic floor, improving support for the bladder and vaginal walls, and addressing stress urinary incontinence without any invasive procedure.

  1. Session Duration: 28 mins
  2. Sessions Required: 6 sessions
  3. Downtime: Zero
  4. Results Visible: From session 3–4

06 Combined Protocol

Comprehensive Result

360° Intimate Rejuvenation Programme

Our signature programme combines two or more modalities — typically RF or laser with PRP and pelvic floor training — for patients seeking comprehensive results. Structured over 8–12 weeks with staggered sessions, this protocol addresses laxity, dryness, sensitivity, and incontinence simultaneously, with a personalised protocol built by our gynaecologist.

  1. Duration: 8–12 week programme
  2. Sessions: 6–10 combined
  3. Downtime: Varies by session
  4. Best For: Post-partum, menopause

Your Step-by-Step Experience

01 Confidential Consultation

Your journey begins with a private one-on-one consultation with one of our trained gynaecologists. We conduct a thorough medical history review, understand your specific concerns and goals, and assess your anatomy. There is absolutely no judgement — our clinics are a safe, respectful space for every woman.

02 Personalised Treatment Plan

Based on the consultation, your doctor will design a bespoke treatment plan — selecting the most suitable modality (or combination), determining session frequency, and setting realistic outcome expectations. You will receive a detailed written plan with transparent pricing before any commitment.

03 Pre-Treatment Preparation

Most treatments require minimal preparation. You may be advised to avoid sexual activity and tampon use for 48 hours before your session. A topical numbing cream may be applied 20–30 minutes before energy-based procedures. Our nurse will walk you through every step on the day.

04 The Treatment Session

You will be made comfortable in a private treatment room. The chosen device or injectable is applied by your treating doctor. Most patients report a mild warmth or pressure sensation — not pain. Sessions range from 20 to 60 minutes. You can return home immediately after.

05 Aftercare & Follow-Up

Post-treatment care is simple and manageable. You will receive a printed aftercare guide and have direct access to your treating doctor for any questions. Follow-up appointments are scheduled to track your progress, and your protocol is adjusted if needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

Who Is Best Suited for Treatment?

A candidacy assessment is always done during consultation. However, the following gives you a general indication of who may benefit from vaginal rejuvenation, and when it may not be recommended.

Ideal Candidates

  • Women who have had vaginal deliveries and experience reduced tone or sensation post-partum
  • Peri-menopausal or post-menopausal women experiencing vaginal atrophy, dryness, and laxity
  • Women experiencing stress urinary incontinence (leaking when coughing, sneezing, or exercising)
  • Those with decreased sexual sensitivity or difficulty achieving orgasm
  • Women who want non-surgical, low-downtime alternatives to labiaplasty or vaginoplasty
  • Individuals in general good health without active pelvic infections
  • Women over 21 years of age who are not currently pregnant

When to Postpone?

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding women (most treatments are contraindicated)
  • Active vaginal or pelvic infection, STI, or ongoing inflammation
  • Patients with pacemakers or metallic implants (for RF and HIFEM-based treatments)
  • Uncontrolled diabetes or immune-compromising medical conditions
  • Within 6 weeks of a gynaecological procedure or surgery
  • During active menstruation (treatment can be rescheduled)
  • History of keloid scarring (evaluated case-by-case for laser treatments)

What Results Can You Expect?

Results vary based on the treatment chosen, individual anatomy, age, and adherence to aftercare. The following data is drawn from published clinical studies and Uncover Clinics patient outcome data.

96%

Of patients reported improved vaginal tone after completing their full course

89%

Improvement in vaginal dryness and lubrication scores post-treatment

82%

Reported significant improvement in sexual satisfaction and sensitivity

78%

Patients with stress urinary incontinence showed measurable improvement

Important: Individual results vary and are dependent on age, severity of laxity, the treatment modality selected, and the number of sessions completed. Results typically become noticeable from 4–6 weeks post-first session, with full results appearing at the 3-month mark. Maintenance sessions once or twice a year are recommended for long-term outcomes. All treatment recommendations at Uncover Clinics are evidence-based and will be discussed in detail at consultation.

Aftercare Guidelines

Proper aftercare ensures the best results and reduces the risk of any post-treatment discomfort. Our team will provide written personalised guidelines at every session.

Immediately After Treatment (24–48 hrs)

Frequently Asked Questions

Is vaginal tightening painful?

Most patients describe the sensation as a mild warmth or gentle pressure rather than pain. For RF and laser treatments, topical anaesthetic is applied beforehand to maximise comfort. PRP injections may cause a brief pinch at the injection site. The vast majority of patients complete sessions without requiring any additional pain management. Your doctor will prioritise your comfort throughout.

How long do results last?

Results from RF and laser treatments typically last 12–18 months, as the new collagen continues to mature for several months post-treatment. PRP results can last 12–24 months. HA fillers for volume restoration typically last 9–12 months. Annual maintenance sessions are recommended to sustain outcomes, as the natural ageing process continues.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the treatment modality and the degree of concern. Fractional CO₂ laser typically requires 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. RF tightening requires 3–5 sessions. PRP requires 2–4 sessions. HIFEM pelvic floor therapy requires 6 sessions over 3 weeks. Your doctor will define the exact number during consultation after assessment.

Is the treatment safe? Are there any risks?

All treatments offered at Uncover Clinics use FDA-cleared or CE-marked technologies and are performed by trained gynaecologists — not beauticians or untrained practitioners. Side effects are generally mild and temporary: mild swelling, brief discharge, or transient sensitivity. Serious complications are extremely rare when treatments are performed correctly. We conduct a full medical screening before recommending any protocol.

Can I get treatment after a C-section delivery?

Yes. Women who have delivered via caesarean section can still experience vaginal laxity and pelvic floor changes due to hormonal shifts and the physical demands of pregnancy itself. Most treatments are suitable post-C-section, however we recommend waiting at least 3–4 months after delivery before beginning treatment. This will be confirmed during your consultation.

Will I feel different during intimacy after treatment?

Yes — positively. Patients consistently report improved sensation, increased natural lubrication, and greater satisfaction during intimacy following a full treatment course. Increased collagen density and improved tissue quality directly enhance the sensory experience. Many also report renewed confidence, which itself has a profound impact on intimate relationships.
